About Mike Cosentino

<p>Mike Cosentino enters his second season as the Head Coach of the St. Bonaventure University ACHA hockey team in 2026-27 after a highly successful first season behind the Bonnies’ bench.</p><p>In his first season at St. Bonaventure, Cosentino led the Bonnies to a 25-5-1 overall record, a UNYCHL Championship, and a No. 10 national ranking. The Bonnies advanced through the ACHA Northeast Regionals with victories over Sacred Heart and RPI to earn a berth at the ACHA National Tournament. At Nationals, St. Bonaventure posted a 2-1 record in pool play, earning victories over Florida Atlantic University and Utah State.</p><p>Prior to arriving at St. Bonaventure, Cosentino spent two seasons as the Head Coach and General Manager of the Brooklyn Aviators, a junior hockey organization who competed in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). Before joining the Aviators, he served as the Interim Head Coach and Assistant General Manager of the Elmira Mammoth of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL).</p><p>Cosentino has also coached with the Old Bridge Knights, Brick Hockey Club, Swain’s Hockey Skills and Development, and Norwalk High School in Norwalk, Connecticut. Throughout his coaching career, he has served in a variety of roles, including Head Coach, Assistant Coach, General Manager, and Goaltending Coach.</p><p>A native of Point Pleasant, New Jersey, Cosentino played youth hockey for the New Jersey Titans AAA program before competing in varsity hockey and baseball at Red Bank Catholic High School. During his time at RBC, he helped the hockey program capture a conference championship and was named a First Team All-Conference selection as well as the team’s Most Valuable Player.</p><p>Cosentino went on to play junior hockey for the Philadelphia Revolution of the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) before playing NCAA college hockey at King’s College and Neumann University. Following his junior year of college, he began his professional career with the Watertown Wolves of the FPHL. Cosentino played three seasons of professional hockey in the FPHL and earned two call-ups to the SPHL and ECHL during his playing career.</p><p>Cosentino received his bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Troy University in 2024, with minors in psychology, political science, and education.</p><p>Alongside his duties as Head Coach of the St. Bonaventure hockey program, Cosentino also serves as the Recreation Assistant for the St. Bonaventure University Campus Recreation Department.</p>
